OK for analog TV . I bought the tuner to work on an an XP desktop with AMD 64 X2 3800+ and 3GB RAM. I have comcast cable and receive 67 analog channels and approximately 30 digital TV channels [QAM256] and 50+ music digital channels over cable and 8 OTA channels. The tuner will pick up the analog channels fine, but I had to upgrade to Vista in order to get any digital channels. Upgraded but can only get OTA HD channels. Documentation says that it should be able to get QAM [clear unencrypted] cable channels but it does not. Have upgraded to latest drivers from AMD and ATI but still no QAM from the cable attached to either NTSC or ATSC connection. Only way to get digital channels is to put antenna on ATSC connector. Have not yet contacted vendor for help since I only have time to work on Sat/Sun.

Works with Windows 7 . You can use this tuner to recieve ATSC on Windows 7. I use Windows 7 x64 Pro and you just have to install the Vista drivers. While not officially being supported by ATI, this does work and I'm getting my second one right now.

Great TV Tuner - Diamond has Live Phone Support if you need it. . I bought this TV tuner because it has 2 tuners - I wanted the advantage of being able to record and what a different TV at the same time. Also, I am always concerned about support, so I called Diamond before I bought the TV tuner and I got a live tech support rep in a few minutes using there toll free number. I also call ATI, and the tech told me it was the best TV tuner for my applications. ATI also told that Diamond had live phone support and VisionTek did not have live phone support and recommend Diamond. Had no problems setting up the software - very automatic. Just plugged in and ran the CD. I also use it to capture videos for my home movies. Nice TV Tuner

Lag Time . It does exactly what its suppose to, and does it pretty well except for the fact it has a lag time of about 3 seconds. Lag time isn't a problem at all if you use this for watching TV or anything regarding watching shows. However if you ever decide to hook up a game system such as a game cube or playstation the lag time makes it impossible to play. If your intent is to hook up a game system to you computer DON'T get this product, you will be greatly disappointed!
Awesome product tech support not as good. . I have used this product with both Windows Vista and Windows 7. The key is to find the right drivers. I believe the drivers I am currently using came from AMD's website, but I have also tried the drivers from Diamond's website.
I only use the device to record TV shows using my VHF/UHF antenna in my attic. I am 28 miles outside Chicago, and I pick up a lot of local HD stations, even CBS, which is typically a weak signal in this area.
I would NOT recommend the ATI software. I did not have a good experience with it. I used Windows Media Center.
For backing up my TV shows, I have 1.5TB Western Digital external hard drive. I also purchased a blu-ray burner and a program called Authoring Works 4 (made by Pegasys - TMPGEnc). I love that program because it allows me to edit commericals out of anything TV show or movie I record. Then I can put the files onto a DVD or BD-R. I can fit 8 episodes of Smallville onto one 25GB blu-ray disc!
I highly recommend this product. You just have to be patient as the setup requires a bit of trial and error.

Hardware okay for Windows XP but not Win7 . 5 Stars for seller service but had to return it because I was not satisfied with the product.
Hardware is adequate for WinXP but bundled TV software is very poor. You have to get third party software like BeyondTV, which I tested with this product but did not buy, or use with WinXP Media Center, which I did not have. I could not upgrade to Win7 because this hardware is not supported.
SD Video quality is okay. Did not get to test HD.

Cons Review
Hardware great Software Stinks . The hardware appears to function adequately, usually yielding acceptable video and audio recording. The software is a miserable excuse for software. Recording from TV or PVR places all of a 1.5-2 hr movie into 3-4 separate recorded mpeg blocks of about 4 gigs each. The packaged software doesn't have ANY documentation and is not intuitive at all. It claims to be able to join these units & convert them to AVI, but I have not been able to get my software to do that. I have to use a third party software to connect the 3-4 segments of recorded video and convert it to AVI format. On occasion, the recording will get the video out of sync with the audio, requiring re-recording (at normal 1:1 speed, this is a lengthy procedure). The manufacturer really need to separate out the recording portion of the software and totally revise it. Unless you are willing to put up with this kind of hassle, you should not buy this product.
Caused BsoD Errors on Vista and Win7 . Was unable to use this device, each time when booting up in either Vista or Win7 I encountered BsoD errors (Blue Screen Of Death). Disconnecting from USB resolved the issue but of course made the tuner unusable. I have since resorted to using Avertv Hybrid Volar Max Tv Tuner Kit for Windows MTVHVMXSK Avertv Hybrid Volar Max Tv Tuner Kit for Windows MTVHVMXSK and a Pinnacle 880e USB Pinnacle Systems 8230-10020-71 PCTV HD Ultimate Stick and both of these USB devices work with no problem on USB. I also tried this tuner on same machine running Vista x64 with no luck...the pc would not boot up and would crash with BsoD error. tuner is unusable, TigerDirect (Amazon vendor) graciously allowed RMA.
